Great design and website skills matter to us, but organisation, time management and attention to detail matter just as much.
We work with multiple clients, brands, campaigns and deadlines at any given time, so we’re looking for someone who can manage their allocated time effectively, prioritise tasks, stay organised and take ownership of their workload without needing constant direction.
This isn’t an entry-level position. We’re looking for someone with previous industry experience who is confident working autonomously, managing competing priorities and taking a project from brief through to completion.

Strong proficiency across Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Adobe proficiency is essential for this role, with all client design work required to be completed using the appropriate Adobe applications.
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to thoroughly check your own work for accuracy, consistency, alignment, spelling, formatting and adherence to individual client brand guidelines.
Excellent time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, work efficiently within allocated hours and meet agreed deadlines.
Excellent file-management habits, including consistently naming, saving and filing working files and final artwork correctly within KADM’s established systems.
Experience designing and building websites using platforms such as Squarespace, WordPress or similar website builders, including site structure, page layouts, responsive design and styling. Squarespace experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Previous graphic and web design experience.
Experience developing creative concepts and assets for marketing and advertising campaigns.
A sound understanding of print production, including correctly preparing artwork for magazines, brochures, signage and other printed collateral.
A professional, reliable and respectful approach to your work, our clients and the wider team.
The ability to communicate clearly, take feedback constructively and follow a brief while still contributing your own creative ideas.
-
Because we’re a small team, how you work and conduct yourself matters as much as the work you produce.
We value people who are honest, organised, dependable, and accountable, people who communicate professionally, manage their time well, respect deadlines, and take ownership of the finer details.
We also place a lot of importance on our internal systems. Maintaining organised working files, following established processes and ensuring another team member can easily pick up a project at any given time, are all part of doing the job well.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in the whole process.
-
This role will initially be approximately 5–10 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as our workload and the role develops.
For a New Plymouth-based applicant, this will be a hybrid position, combining remote work with time alongside the KADM team.
For the right Australia-based applicant, the position can be undertaken remotely, provided they can work collaboratively with our New Zealand-based team and meet the role's requirements.
The successful applicant will need to provide their own suitable laptop/computer and any preferred digital devices required to undertake the role effectively. We will provide access to relevant KADM systems, accounts, and platforms as required.
Remuneration will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and will reflect the successful applicant’s experience and suitability for the role.
